Welcome to Catchloom. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we handle your data when you use our application.

2. Data Collection and Usage

Catchloom is designed to be a privacy-first note-taking application. We generally do not collect personal information unless you explicitly provide it or enable cloud synchronization features.

2.1 Local Data

All notes, tags, images, and other content you create in Catchloom are stored locally on your device by default. We do not have access to this data.

2.2 Cloud Synchronization (Google Drive)

If you choose to enable cloud synchronization, Catchloom communicates directly with your personal Google Drive. Your data is encrypted and transferred securely between your device and Google's servers.

• We do not store your Google account credentials.
• We do not have access to your files stored in Google Drive (except for the specific app folder created by Catchloom).
• Your data is not sent to our servers or any third-party servers other than Google.

3. App Permissions

To provide specific features, Catchloom may request the following permissions on your device:

• Biometric/FaceID: Used strictly for the "Secure Lock" feature to unlock the app locally. Biometric data is processed by the OS and never accessed by the app.
• Camera: Used only when you choose to take a photo to attach to a note or for OCR (text recognition) features.
• Photo Library: Used to attach existing images to your notes.
• Microphone: Used only for the voice-to-text recording feature. Audio data is processed locally or via system APIs for transcription.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Sign-In & Google Drive API: For authentication and data synchronization.

5. Data Retention

Since your data is stored locally or on your own Google Drive, you have full control over retention. Deleting a note in the app removes it from the device and, if synced, from the app folder in your Google Drive.

5. 資料保存
